R&D: Food Industry – Project successful FIT/FAT
During November 2017, senior technical staff from the Client (a global snack industry giant) visited Spinlock’s HQ in Cordoba to evaluate the performance of the new inline NMR developed by Spinlock specifically for them. The test involved a week-long testing session and +500M data points were recollected during that period.
The testing session was a complete success for the Client, Spinlock and the inline NMR. The equipment was pushed to its limits to determine its largest deviation with pattern methods, and the adaptability to fit an industrial production line. The test was intensive and concluded with the acceptance from the client of the device and its clearance to ship it to the client’s plant in the United States.
At the end of the week, in conversations with the entire Spinlock team, the client’s responsible executive shared its perspective on the project and the importance and future of the technology within the client’s operations: “on our team, we are used to making progress in ratios of 10x in speed or accuracy. This device would allow our company to jump 100 times from our current analysis capabilities” permitting for the first time a complete online test of every sample on the production line.
Next steps include preparing the device for shipment to its final destination in the United States. Details of the project, unfortunately, remain confidential.
